On Thursday, Niki Klein and I (co-founders of Academy of Holistic Modalities Inc) held our first-ever teleseminar to announce our 3-day live BIG EVENT the end of September. It’s the only event we are doing together this year.

Due to scheduling, it was my turn to lead the first one; Niki will lead the August 19 call.

WHEW!!!

That was a little scary, a little exciting, a little overwhelming and a little annoying (due to a very bad teleconference glitch where I only got in one minute before the start time and my phone line which buzzed the entire time). People could hear me but I couldn’t hear them. What a way to test if you can go from ’super stressed’ to ‘mellow’ in 60 seconds! I didn’t quite manage it but, in the overall picture, for a first teleseminar … it went amazingly well. And, despite all the technical glitches, the audio came out very clearly.

We discussed 5 simple steps to jumpstart your mindset so that you can create the thriving business you want and deserve!; all registrants received the audio recording and a link to a free report from me as a gift for being on the call. The call also included a fabulous ‘decisive action bonus’ for my and Niki Klein’s joint 3-day live “exclusive VIP event” creating your thriving, heart-centered business that you want and deserve to be held September 23 through 26. Limited to 5 participants.

Here’s the audio link if you’d like to listen in…

To learn more about the event itself go to the Academy website: http://www.AcademyofHolisticModalities.com/ on the right hand side under “VIP Event” click on the “event information detailed” link. It will open a PDF in a separate window and you’ll be able to read all about it.

What are you reading?

It’s the weekend … a time to relax, sit back and enjoy.

I love to use Sundays to:

  • bake breads and/or desserts for the week
  • catch up on my reading
  • do a little tweeting, posting, think of ideas for marketing my business

Today will be banana bread (from the looks of the fruit bowl) and perhaps a chocolate zuchini cake (without icing).

What are you reading?

Here’s what I’ve got lined up for the next few days. Yep. I usually read a new book every couple days; about 4-5 a week. I love reading …

If you are — take a break!

It’s important to balance business and pleasure; not to separate but to be sure they all blend in well to the whole picture of our life overall.

Today, I baked lemon squares and a lemon poppy seed cake (I usually do my baking on Saturday or Sunday so we have the snackies for the week). My husband was in his workshop varnishing the wood trim on the canoe so it looks spiffy the next time we go on vacation (oops … that’s probalby in a couple weeks … I forgot again! It’s hard to keep track of all this vacation time); then he set up the template to do a test run for a sign for our trails this summer. We’re deciding on the colour combinations soon.

Then, after a lunch of homemade vegetable lentil soup (I admit there was some wine in it) and a sandwich; we headed up the 100′ subescarpment hill to the greenhouse — on snowshoes. Then, we switched to cross-country (nordic) skis and toured the outer loop (6+km) for about 1.5 hours with Emily (our puppy). Then, back to the greenhouse to warm up, water the plants that are in holding pattern. I trekked back down the hill to start preparing for a talk on Tuesday night by printing off the handouts for 50 people.

Now, I’m creating the ‘widget’ from Amazon to paste into my website so that people have the opportunity to purchase directly.

More tomorrow…

ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND!
